Our centre

We are one of 700 centres and meditation groups all around the world representing Karma Kagyu Lineage of Diamond Way Buddhism – one of the four main Tibetan Buddhism schools. The centre in Poznań was established by Lama Ole Nydahl and is under spiritual guidance of 17th Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje, the head of our tradition.

Our centres are not out of touch with reality institutions. These are places founded and guided by groups of friends, which function on the basis of friendship and idealism without superfluous hierarchy. We meet there to benefit from timeless wisdom of Buddha’s teachings, meditate, exchange experiences, share our development and take part in common activities. In Poland, our centres are represented by Diamond Way Buddhism Karma Kagyu Lineage Association, officially registered since 1984. The Association brings together more than 60 centres and groups operating nationwide.

The goal of Diamond Way Buddhism Karma Kagyu Lineage Association is to make the Diamond Way Buddhism teachings accessible in modern way. We hope that the materials you find on our website will provide you with a necessary and reliable information about Buddhism and its role in the contemporary world.
